Nogoyá school principal accused of student abuse
Parents of approximately 40 students at Escuela N° 5 Ayacucho in the Nogoyá department, Entre Ríos, have filed complaints against the school principal for alleged psychological and physical abuse, harassment, and institutional violence.
Legal representative Anahí Orcellet stated that the incidents, involving children as young as five years old, have been occurring since 2025. Allegations include the principal threatening students with increased severity due to complaints, prohibiting students from discussing school events at home, and forcing children to finish all food served in the dining hall. Parents also reported that the principal has banned them from entering the school premises.
While the Departmental Directorate of Education in Nogoyá previously intervened, the legal representative noted that the complaint did not progress effectively. Orcellet criticized the oversight process, noting that the supervisor primarily relied on the principal's own testimony to claim the situation was under control.
