Noida and Greater Noida report multiple fatalities and safety incidents

Noida and Greater Noida have reported several tragic incidents involving fatalities and safety concerns. In Greater Noida, the primary suspect in the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl was killed by police during a crime scene reconstruction. Additionally, a five-year-old boy died in Noida after his father allegedly punched him during an argument with his estranged wife; the father has been detained.

Road safety remains a concern following multiple fatal accidents. A car collided with a stationary bus on the Greater Noida expressway, killing two people and injuring a teenager. On NH-9, a couple on a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a truck.

In Sector 61, five people, including a toddler and a heart patient, were trapped for 20 minutes in a malfunctioning elevator at Royal Tower Apartments. Residents have raised concerns regarding inadequate maintenance and safety protocols following the incident.
