Noida Authority launches land acquisition for New Noida investment region

The Noida Authority will begin acquiring land for the New Noida project, officially the Dadri‑Noida‑Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR), within the next seven to ten days. The first phase targets 37 villages – 24 in Bulandshahr district and 13 in Gautam Buddh Nagar – using a mutual‑consent approach. Four revenue officials (lekhpals) have been deployed, with a fifth joining soon, to verify ownership records, inheritance claims and to conduct a physical survey of boundaries, crops, structures and roads. Compensation is set at ₹74,300 per square metre, matching the rate used for the Jewar Airport land acquisition.

The Uttar Pradesh government has notified 209.11 sq km across 84 villages for the DNGIR, part of the Delhi‑Mumbai Industrial Corridor, to be developed in four phases up to 2041. In parallel, Noida officials demolished seven illegal farmhouses in flood‑plain areas, clearing about 32,470 sq m of land as part of ongoing efforts to regularise the region.
