Noida Authority seizes five vehicles in nighttime waste management drive

The Noida Authority conducted a nighttime surprise inspection and monitoring campaign to strengthen the city's sanitation system and prevent the illegal collection of mixed waste. Following directives from the authority's Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, the operation took place on Wednesday, September 23, across several key locations in the city.

During the drive, five vehicles were seized for unauthorized collection of mixed waste. The operation, led by Senior Manager of Health and Solid Waste Management Kapil Singh and Manager Gaurav Shukla with police assistance, targeted establishments to ensure waste was being collected through authorized channels and in compliance with segregation rules.

Specific enforcement actions included: - Seizure of three vehicles at DLF Mall in Sector 18. - Seizure of one vehicle at Bing Central in Sector 62. - Seizure of one vehicle at i-thum in Sector 62.

The authority emphasized that bulk waste generators must ensure proper segregation of wet and dry waste and follow prescribed disposal procedures. Continuous monitoring will remain in place to ensure waste is handled only through authorized systems.
