Noida: Five-year-old boy dies after father allegedly punches him

A five-year-old boy named Akash died in the Mamura area of Sector 66, Noida, after being allegedly punched by his father during a dispute with his estranged wife.

According to police reports, the father, identified as 30-year-old Vikash Kumar, entered the room of his wife, Puja, where a heated argument occurred. During the altercation, Kumar allegedly punched the child, causing him to lose consciousness. The boy was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.

Police have registered an FIR against Kumar under Section 105 for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The suspect has been detained for questioning, though he reportedly denied the allegations during initial interrogation. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
