Noida murder suspect apprehended in Bihar

Police have apprehended Raman Raj, a suspect in the murder of Mehak Ahmed, a young woman from Assam. The incident occurred in a rented building in the Barola area of Noida during the night of August 7-8.

According to witnesses, Mehak and Raman, who were acquaintances living on the same floor, were seen drinking alcohol on a balcony before entering a room together. The following morning, Mehak's roommate discovered her body in room number 13, covered in blood. Raman had fled the scene.

Following an investigation, Noida police traced the suspect to Katihar, Bihar, approximately 1,300 kilometers away. Local police in Katihar apprehended Raman Raj, and Noida police have since arrived in Bihar to take him into custody for further interrogation regarding the circumstances of the death.
