Noida police investigate murder of 19-year-old woman in Baraula PG

Police in Noida have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of the body of a 19-year-old woman, identified as Mehak Ahmed, at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in the Baraula area.

Ahmed, a resident of Assam, had reportedly moved to Noida with a friend to seek private-sector employment. Her body was found in a room adjacent to her friend’s accommodation. Preliminary investigations suggest she was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon, sustaining approximately six stab wounds that led to her death due to excessive blood loss.

A suspect, identified as Raman, a resident of Bihar who also stayed in the building, has absconded. Reports indicate a possible dispute involving alcohol occurred between the parties shortly before the incident. Forensic teams have inspected the crime scene, and police are currently reviewing CCTV footage and technical evidence to apprehend the suspect.
