Noida Police Arrest Wanted Gang Member Linked to Vehicle Theft Ring

On July 18, Uttar Pradesh police in Noida's Sector‑58 detained Insaf Putra Khursheed, a 27‑year‑old suspect who had evaded capture for about three years. The arrest was part of a special operation based on manual intelligence and confidential tips. Khursheed is identified as an active member of an organized vehicle‑theft gang that steals and disposes of cars across locations. He faces numerous charges under the Gangster Act, including attempt murder, theft, fraud, forgery, and violations of the Arms Act, with multiple cases recorded in 2022‑2023. Authorities said his detention could provide valuable information on the gang’s network and operations, and further interrogation is underway.
