Noida police bust bike‑theft and mobile‑snatching gang, arrest three suspects

On July 15, the Noida Sector‑24 police unit carried out a raid near the Mother Dairy area in Sector‑11 after receiving manual intelligence and secret information. The operation dismantled an organised gang that specialised in stealing two‑wheelers and snatching mobile phones across Delhi, Noida and the wider NCR region.

Three adult suspects – Jitendra (19, Delhi), Arbaaz (19, Bihar) and Abhishek Shah (18, Bihar) – were arrested, and a juvenile was taken into custody. Police recovered seven two‑wheel vehicles (scooters and motorcycles), three mobile phones, four illegal knives, two broken number plates and a cash sum of ₹1,200. The gang concealed the stolen vehicles in the forested area of Sector‑54 before stripping the plates and selling them at low prices, dividing the proceeds equally among members.

Investigators are now identifying the rightful owners of the recovered items and pursuing further leads to uncover additional gang members and the broader theft network.
