Noida schools receive bomb threats via email

Approximately a dozen private schools in Noida and Greater Noida received bomb threats via email on Monday, October 12. The threats targeted several prominent institutions, including Apeejay School in Sector 16, Step by Step School, and Delhi Public School (DPS).

Upon receiving the emails, school managements alerted the police, prompting the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissionerate to deploy bomb disposal squads, dog squads, anti-sabotage checking teams, and fire brigades to conduct thorough searches of the campuses. While some schools evacuated students and staff as a precaution, initial inspections of classrooms, playgrounds, and administrative buildings yielded no suspicious objects or explosive materials.

The cyber crime team is currently investigating the source of the emails by tracing IP addresses and servers. Authorities suspect the messages may be a hoax intended to create panic, and police have urged the public to remain calm and avoid spreading rumors.
