Nokia 123 Shield rugged phone launched in Europe

HMD introduced the Nokia 123 Shield, a low‑cost, rugged feature phone aimed at users who need durable hardware and long battery life. The device meets IP65 standards for water and dust resistance, supports 2G networks, and includes a removable 1,750 mAh battery that can provide up to 27 hours of continuous talk time and up to 19 days of standby.

Technical specifications include a 2.4‑inch QVGA screen, Unisoc SC6531E processor, 4 MB RAM, 4 MB internal storage (expandable to 32 GB via microSD), a modest rear camera with LED flash, FM radio, dual‑SIM capability and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It is offered in green and purple colour variants and is positioned as the most affordable rugged Nokia model.

The phone is being sold in Europe, with prices of about €35 in Bulgaria and €40 in Greece, and is expected to appear in retail chains across the continent from late July.
