Nolan North expresses strong interest in returning for Uncharted 5

Nolan North, the voice and motion-capture actor for Nathan Drake, has expressed a strong desire to return to the Uncharted franchise if Sony and Naughty Dog decide to develop a new entry. Speaking at the Gamergy event in Puerto Rico, North stated he is “110 percent” ready to reprise the role, noting that he even tries to stay in physical shape “just in case.”

While North confirmed he has not received any official communication regarding a new project, his comments coincide with industry rumors suggesting that Naughty Dog may be working on Uncharted 5. Some reports suggest the project could involve Nathan Drake alongside his daughter, Cassie. North emphasized that a return would be “the biggest announcement in gaming,” but noted that the decision ultimately rests on whether Sony views it as a profitable business move.

North also cautioned that any potential sequel must maintain high quality to avoid being a lackluster addition to the series, comparing the risk of a poor sequel to the reception of the fourth Indiana Jones film.
