Nole and Noto secure millions for building energy efficiency

The municipalities of Nole and Noto are receiving significant funding to improve the energy efficiency and structural integrity of public buildings.

In Nole, over 6 million euros have been allocated for the redevelopment of local heritage. Through the Conto Termico 3.0 program, 5.2 million euros have been granted for 2026 alone. Key projects include 3 million euros for the ‘Merlo Pich’ secondary school, 1.88 million euros for seismic upgrading and energy efficiency at NoleForum, and 313,000 euros for the renovation of Casa Perotti. Previous funding since 2018 has already supported various primary schools, nurseries, and the municipal palace.

In Noto, approximately 2.5 million euros has been approved for the energy requalification of the ‘Giovanni Aurispa’ school complex, part of the Melodia Institute. The project aims to upgrade the building from its current Class C rating to Class A4, transforming it into a nearly zero-energy building (NZEB). Planned interventions include thermal insulation of the roof, installation of thermal break windows, heat pump systems, a 30 kW photovoltaic plant, and LED lighting.
