Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu joins US Army

Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu has officially joined the United States Army after completing 17 weeks of military training. Having finished both Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Advanced Individual Training (AIT), Momodu has earned the rank of Specialist.

Momodu, who enlisted on April 12, 2026, stated that his decision to join the military was inspired by his late father, who served in the Nigerian Police Force. The actor announced his achievement on social media on August 27, 2026, marking a significant career transition from the entertainment industry to active military service.
