Nollywood actress Atinuke Kareem dies after battle with breast cancer

Nollywood actress Atinuke Remilekun Kareem has died following a battle with breast cancer. Her passing was announced on Tuesday by Owolabi Ajasa, the Executive Governor of the Ogun State chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).

Kareem, known for her roles in Yoruba language productions including the comedy series ‘Sàlàyé È’, had previously appealed to the public for financial assistance to fund her medical treatment. While she received financial and moral support from colleagues and fans, the association noted her death as an irrecoverable loss.

Her passing follows the recent death of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, who also died after a battle with cancer.
