Temitope Osoba's fiancé claims actress died at Ikorodu police station

The fiancé of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, has claimed she died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State. This account contradicts widespread social media speculation that her death was caused by complications from breast cancer, a battle the actress had previously documented publicly.

Onadeko also dismissed allegations that Osoba was poisoned or maltreated prior to her death, and denied claims regarding the misuse of funds donated for her medical treatment. He stated he was notified of her death by an unidentified caller around midnight and noted that Osoba had gone to visit a church operator, Kehinde Osoba, shortly before the incident.

Osoba's family has announced burial arrangements for August 13, 2026, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State. A funeral service will be held at Saint James Anglican Church, followed by interment at the Iperu Remo Cemetery. Ahead of the burial, a candlelight procession and an artists' night titled “An Evening of Love, Music & Memories” are scheduled for August 11 in Ikeja, Lagos.
