Nonatão da 4 sworn in as councilman in Palmas

Raimundo Nonato Ribeiro de Souza, known as Nonatão da 4 (PP), was sworn in as a full councilman at the Palmas Municipal Chamber on Tuesday morning. His inauguration follows a decision by the Tocantins Electoral Court (TRE-TO) regarding an Electoral Judicial Investigation Action (AIJE) and the recalculation of votes from the 2024 municipal elections.

Nonatão da 4 assumes the seat previously held by Juarez Rigol (PL). The transition follows an announcement that Rigol will be appointed as an extraordinary municipal secretary for Institutional Relations. During the ceremony, the new councilman pledged to uphold federal, state, and municipal laws, stating that his legislative focus will remain on social projects, a field in which he has worked for 12 years.
