Nonsan seeks 2027 government budget for key regional projects

Nonsan City has initiated cooperation with the National Assembly to secure government funding for the 2027 fiscal year. During a budget policy meeting with National Assembly member Hwang Myeong-seon, the city outlined its strategy to ensure major local projects are reflected in the national budget during the formulation stage.

The city is focusing on 11 priority projects with a total cost of 488.8 billion KRW, aiming to secure 24.8 billion KRW in national funds for 2027. Key initiatives include the establishment of a Defense Future Technology Research Center, the Defense Innovation Cluster project, and the preparation for the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo.

Other major focus areas include the development of the Topjeongho Comprehensive Tourism Project, the modernization of Baekje General Hospital, and the creation of a national defense industrial complex. Nonsan plans to strengthen its coordination with the National Assembly, central government ministries, and Chungcheongnam-do to maximize the inclusion of these core projects in the upcoming budget.
