NoPixel V enters closed beta for invited GTA RP creators

The NoPixel V closed beta has launched for 450 invited content creators, featuring a rebuilt Grand Theft Auto V roleplay world. The update includes a redesigned character creator with extensive customization options for face, body, apparel, and tattoos, as well as rebuilt districts like Cypress Flats and a new Pixel Hotel and Casino.

Access is currently exclusive to invited participants via the Rockstar Games Launcher, appearing as a separate executable. While the project represents a significant evolution for the GTA RP community, the launch has been met with technical difficulties. Rockstar Games has acknowledged various issues, including performance drops during large player gatherings, networking glitches, and crashes related to display settings or VRAM limitations.

The launch has also reignited competition between streaming platforms. An independent analysis noted approximately 125,000 concurrent viewers across platforms during the launch period. While Kick continues to promote its own GTA RP content, the high viewership on Twitch and the integration of Twitch Drops have sparked community discussion regarding streamer platform preferences.
