Nora Cornolle transitions from Muay Thai to UFC success

Nora Cornolle, a former Muay Thai champion, has successfully transitioned to professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) within the UFC. Despite a non-traditional athletic start, Cornolle earned a master's degree in communication before discovering combat sports during a study trip to Thailand at age 21.

Her career includes five French championships, a European title, and a silver medal at the 2022 World Games. After being diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, an autoimmune disease, she pivoted to professional MMA in 2021 at the age of 31. Since her UFC debut in September 2023 at the Accor Arena, she has secured notable victories, including a knockout against Melissa Mullins. She is currently ranked 13th globally in the bantamweight division.
