Nora Fatehi sued for ₹3 crore by Dunes Aviation over social media remarks

Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi is facing a ₹3 crore civil defamation lawsuit filed by Dunes Aviation in a Gandhinagar court. The legal action follows social media posts Fatehi made in December regarding a chartered Cessna Citation CJ2 aircraft used during a flight from Mumbai to Jaipur.

Dunes Aviation alleges that Fatehi’s descriptions of the plane as a “miniature”, “toy”, and “Lego airplane” were “reckless, irresponsible, and made without any technical knowledge”. The company claims these remarks, shared with her 46 million Instagram followers, caused a 15% to 20% decline in bookings and an increase in cancellations, significantly damaging its commercial reputation.

The aviation firm maintains the aircraft is fully DGCA-certified, airworthy, and operated under a valid NSOP. In addition to monetary damages, the lawsuit seeks a court order to remove the offending social media content and requests a public clarification from the actress. The matter is scheduled to be heard by Senior Civil Judge R. Agarwal on September 25.
