Nora Hauptle departs as Zambia Copper Queens head coach
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has announced a mutual separation from Nora Hauptle, the head coach of the Copper Queens. The decision follows discussions between FAZ officials and representatives for Hauptle.
Assistant coach Charles Haalubono has been appointed to lead the team on an interim basis ahead of upcoming fixtures. FAZ stated that long-term arrangements for the head coaching position will be announced in due course.
Hauptle, a Swiss coach, was appointed to a three-year contract on 24 January 2025, succeeding the late Bruce Mwape. Prior to her tenure in Zambia, she coached the Ghana Women’s National Football Team.
