Norbert Rollinger re-elected as GDV President

Norbert Rollinger, CEO of R+V Versicherung AG, has been unanimously re-elected as President of the GDV (German Insurance Association) for an additional two-year term. The decision was confirmed by the association's presidium during a general meeting in Berlin.

Rollinger, who has led the GDV since 2022, identified several key priorities for his upcoming term. These include the future of pension schemes, protection against natural hazards, and financial regulation. He emphasized the need for attractive private pension products accessible through both personal consultation and digital channels, noting that occupational pensions should be more widely implemented in small businesses.

Regarding natural disaster protection, Rollinger is anticipating policy proposals in the coming year. He advocates for a collaborative approach involving insurance coverage, prevention measures, and state involvement during rare extreme events. Additionally, he is calling for the full implementation of European regulatory relief intended for small and medium-sized insurers.
