Norddeutscher Regatta Verein wins at Wannsee

The Norddeutscher Regatta Verein (NRV) extended its lead in the 1st Sailing Bundesliga after winning the 5th match day at Wannsee. The Hamburg-based team secured the victory with 35 points, placing them ahead of the Berliner Yacht-Club and Joersfelder Segel-Club.

In the 2nd Sailing Bundesliga, which held its 4th match day concurrently, the Akademische Segelverein Warnemünde took first place with 39 points, followed by Flensburger Segel-Club and Segel-Club Ville. The events were hosted by the Potsdamer Yacht Club and organized by the Deutsche Segel-Liga e. V.

Competing in J/70 class boats with four-person crews, 36 teams from across Germany participated in 16 races each. The competition faced varying weather conditions, ranging from light winds to gusty southwest winds of up to 20 knots.
