Norden praises PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim for maritime safety standards

Danish shipping company Norden has expressed appreciation for the pilotage and towage services provided by PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (PJM) at various Indonesian ports. Steffen Christian Lie, Norden’s Head of Dry Operations for Asia/North Pacific, stated that PJM’s services meet international safety standards, citing the professionalism of the crew and the reliability of modern equipment.

Norden noted that the precision and punctuality of PJM’s tug and pilot services assist in managing vessel schedules and minimizing delays. Effective communication between ship teams and local pilots was also highlighted as a critical factor for safe maneuvering in unfamiliar waters. To date, Norden’s vessels have not experienced incidents during docking or cargo operations in Indonesia.

Suhendra Ratuprawiranegara, Commercial Director of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim, noted that this recognition strengthens the partnership between the two companies as they work to expand service coverage and ensure safe maritime operations.
