Nordex Group secures 77 MW Urleasca wind farm contract in Romania

The Nordex Group received an order from Swedish renewable developer OX2 to supply and install 11 N175/6.X wind turbines for the Urleasca wind farm in Romania. The project will have a total installed capacity of 77 MW and includes a 35‑year premium service agreement covering operation and maintenance.

Construction is slated to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning expected in the second half of 2028. OX2 will oversee the build phase and has sold the ready‑to‑build wind farm to Norwegian renewable‑energy company Scatec ASA. The Urleasca site, located near the village of Urleasca in Brăila County, benefits from a long‑term Contract‑for‑Difference with the Romanian state, guaranteeing revenue for the project.

The contract reinforces Nordex’s on‑shore wind business expansion in Central and Eastern Europe, adding to more than 500 MW of recent orders in Romania.
