Nordic airlines cancel winter flights to Dubai

Three major Nordic airlines—Norwegian, SAS, and Finnair—have cancelled their flight services to Dubai for the upcoming winter season.

Norwegian has ceased all ticket sales to Dubai from its primary hubs in Oslo, Stockholm, and Copenhagen. The airline cited the unstable security situation in the Middle East as the primary reason for the decision, affecting approximately 1,500 customers who are being offered refunds.

SAS had planned to resume daily departures from Copenhagen starting in late October, marking its return to the destination since 2011, but has since scrapped the route due to security concerns and weakened demand for travel to the Gulf region.

Finnair has cancelled all flights between Helsinki and Dubai for the entire winter season, spanning from October 25 through March 27, 2027. While these Nordic carriers have withdrawn, service to Dubai remains available through other providers, such as Emirates.
