Nordic Stock Markets Rise Amid Oil Price Fluctuations
Finland’s OMX Helsinki index climbed 0.6% to 13,145 points, led by a 2% surge in Nokia shares and a modest 0.1% dip in Nordea. Infrastructure firm GRK Infra reported a strong order book in Q2, an adjusted operating profit above forecasts and a 4.3% rise in its share price. Lamor’s revenue and profit fell year‑on‑year but still beat analyst expectations, lifting its stock by 2.4%. Relais Group announced the purchase of a 70% stake in Swedish car‑care brand Tershine, whose latest full‑year revenue was about €14 million; no price was disclosed. Analysts updated price targets for several Finnish stocks, including lowering Endomines’ target to €8.60 and maintaining buy recommendations for Nokia and Alma Media.
In Norway, the Oslo Børs main index edged up 0.05% around 10 am after earlier trading saw a 0.28% gain on Tuesday. Oil prices rebounded, with North Sea crude rising to $87.2 a barrel (+4.1% since midnight) after Iran launched rockets at U.S. forces in the Middle East and the United States and Saudi Arabia responded. Energy stocks reacted positively: Equinor gained 1% and AkerBP rose 0.4%, while Vår Energi slipped 0.3%. Subsea 7 fell 2.18% on Tuesday and continued to decline on Wednesday, and Nordic Semiconductor dropped 2.8% on the Oslo exchange. Global semiconductor shares also fell, with SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics tumbling on Asian markets and the Kospi index dropping 5.95%.
