NordVPN receives top ratings in independent security and performance tests

NordVPN has received top honors in two independent evaluations regarding its antivirus capabilities and VPN performance.

West Coast Labs (WCL) awarded NordVPN’s next-generation antivirus its highest AAA certification. Using the WCL Validated methodology with default settings, the product detected 926 out of 934 malware samples, resulting in a 99.1% detection rate. The evaluation also noted that the product met or exceeded the 95% threshold for all 11 MITRE ATT&CK tactics analyzed, with several reaching 100%. The certification followed a rigorous assessment of 22 Core and 12 Augment requirements covering deployment, functionality, and support.

Separately, London-based Artifact Security ranked NordVPN first among five providers in a global performance evaluation. The testing involved 55 network paths across five distinct regions, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, and both the Eastern and Western United States.
