Nordwind: German crime series investigates fatal riding accident

The German crime series ‘Nordwind’ features an investigation into the death of Andreas Falkenberg, a riding stable owner. While his fall from a horse during a ride with his daughter initially appeared to be a tragic accident, investigators suspect murder.

Evidence suggests a fishing line was used to cause the fall, a method previously seen in a similar accident involving police official Iris Dalbert. Investigator Jana Winter is looking into former riding instructor Smilla Sorens, who had publicly threatened the victim. The investigation is complicated by rumors of a series of attacks attributed to a figure known as the ‘Förde-Schreck’.
