Norfolk Tides defeat Gwinnett Stripers 9-8 in walk-off win

The Norfolk Tides secured a 9-8 walk-off victory against the Gwinnett Stripers in a Triple-A matchup. After trailing 8-3 by the third inning, the Tides mounted a comeback fueled by a two-run double from Samuel Basallo and an RBI single from Rece Hinds to tie the game.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, tied at 8-8, Ryan Noda reached base on a walk and advanced to third. Bryan Ramos then drove him in with a sacrifice fly to seal the win for Norfolk. The Stripers' offense produced eight runs on 12 hits, but their pitching struggled, particularly in the ninth inning when James Karinchak allowed the bases to load before the decisive play.
