Nori Robotics unveils affordable Nori A3 humanoid robot

San Francisco-based Nori Robotics has unveiled the Nori A3, an affordable humanoid robot designed for household tasks. Priced at $1,688, the robot is intended to automate domestic chores such as fetching food, pouring drinks, loading dishwashers, and folding laundry.

Unlike many high-cost humanoid robots that utilize bipedal movement, the Nori A3 moves on wheels to reduce mechanical complexity. The robot features 19 degrees of freedom, allowing its upper body to perform various manipulations. It is equipped with lidar sensors and four 720p cameras for spatial awareness and navigation. While it can lift up to 55 kg vertically, its payload capacity decreases to approximately 1.5 kg when the arms are fully extended.

A key feature of the Nori A3 is its Skill Marketplace, a platform similar to an app store where users can download community-developed skills or share new tasks they have taught the robot. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fall of this year.
