Norinchukin Bank integrates ServiceNow with SVF Cloud for document management

Norinchukin Bank has established a new document output infrastructure by integrating the business platform ServiceNow with WingArc1st’s SVF Cloud. This initiative aims to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and profitability through enhanced digitalization.

As the bank expanded ServiceNow to approximately 7,000 users for workflows, it faced challenges regarding complex financial document requirements, such as precise placement for seals and variable-length addresses. To avoid the high maintenance burden of customizing ServiceNow for every specific document, the bank chose to decouple the document output process using SVF Cloud.

The new system will link data entered in ServiceNow with master information to generate documents in PDF or Excel formats, which are then automatically stored in Box. The procurement management system is scheduled to go live in November 2026, handling 18 types of documents at a scale of 50,000 per year. A fund movement system supporting 50 types of documents is planned for release in April 2027.

Beyond internal improvements, Norinchukin Bank plans to leverage its expertise in implementing ServiceNow and Box to provide business support to external companies starting in April 2025. The bank also intends to develop specialized AI agents for tasks such as document searching, sales support, and investment decision-making.
