NORMAL retail chain impersonated in social media scams
The organization Mit digitale selvforsvar has issued a warning regarding fraudulent advertisements on social media platforms that impersonate the Danish retail chain NORMAL.
These scams typically lure users with the promise of a free first aid kit in exchange for completing a short survey. After participating, users are redirected to a website where they are asked to provide sensitive personal information. While the process initially requests a small fee for shipping, it often results in much larger, unauthorized charges for a subscription.
Authorities advise consumers to remain vigilant and avoid clicking on such advertisements, clarifying that these campaigns are not affiliated with the actual retailer.
