Norman Powell assesses Chicago Bulls' potential for upcoming season

Veteran swingman Norman Powell has provided a candid assessment of the Chicago Bulls' prospects for the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season. Following his signing to a two-year, $44 million contract, Powell noted the team's high variance, stating, “We have the potential to be really good. But we also have the potential to be really bad.”

Powell, who joins the team after a strong season with the Miami Heat, aims to instill self-belief and a competitive mentality within a roster undergoing a youth movement. The Bulls are currently transitioning under new head coach Tiago Splitter and are focused on developing young talent, including the No. 4 overall pick from the 2026 draft, Caleb Wilson.
