Norman the Snowman film series to receive theatrical release in Japan

The stop-motion animation series ‘Norman the Snowman’ will be released in theaters across Japan starting January 1, 2027. Produced by the award-winning animation studio TECARAT, the theatrical feature will combine the latest installment, ‘Children’s One Star’ (directed by Ayako Hiroki), with digest versions of the first two films: ‘Aurora in the Northern Country’ (2013) and ‘On a Night of Shooting Stars’ (2016).

The series follows the heartwarming bond between a snowman named Norman and a boy, tracing themes of parental love and the transition from childhood to adulthood. In the new installment, a young man returns to his hometown and reunites with Norman, embarking on an adventure to find a ‘snow flower’ alongside a mysterious child.

The production features a prominent voice cast, including Hiroyuki Yoshino, Maaya Sakamoto, and Yuki Kaji. The film is scheduled to debut at Aeon Cinema locations.
