Norse Atlantic cancels New York winter flights

Norse Atlantic Airways has removed its planned New York connections from its winter 2026-27 flight schedule. This decision includes the cancellation of routes from both London Gatwick and Rome Fiumicino to New York JFK.

According to data from OAG cited by Aviation Week, the airline had originally planned to operate these routes up to three times per week using Boeing 787-9 aircraft, accounting for approximately 83,200 seats. While regular service on these routes will continue through the end of October, they will be suspended for the winter season.

Following these cuts, the airline’s only remaining transatlantic route to the United States for the winter will be the connection between London Gatwick and Orlando. The company’s overall winter network capacity has decreased from approximately 552,000 to 446,500 seats, as the carrier shifts its focus toward long-haul leisure routes connecting Europe to destinations in Thailand, such as Bangkok and Phuket.
