Norsk Arbeidsmandsforbund and NHO reach labor agreement for traffic controllers

Norsk Arbeidsmandsforbund and NHO Service og Handel have reached an agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement for traffic controllers, effectively avoiding a strike. The settlement follows mediation and aims to increase the purchasing power of workers.

Key terms of the agreement include a general wage increase of 6.50 NOK starting April 1, 2026, followed by an additional 4 NOK increase from September 1, 2026. The agreement also introduces the advance payment of sick, care, and parental benefits for up to four months for employees with at least 10 months of continuous service, a provision set to take effect on September 1, 2027.

Other provisions include an increase in meal allowances to 114 NOK and adjustments to health, safety, and environment (HMS) protocols. The agreement will now be sent to members for a vote, with the negotiating delegation unanimously recommending acceptance.
