North Aegean Region signs 2.14 million euro road contract in Lesvos

The Governor of the North Aegean Region, Konstantinos Moutzouris, signed a contract worth approximately 2.14 million euros for the renovation and maintenance of the road section from the Eresos junction to Sigri, extending to Skala Eresos.

The contract was awarded to the company ‘Technima Aigaiou S.A.’. The project aims to improve road safety and infrastructure for local residents, farmers, and tourists in Western Lesvos. Planned works include asphalt paving, repairing technical structures, constructing retaining walls, implementing drainage systems, slope protection, and installing safety barriers.

During the signing ceremony, officials also discussed broader infrastructure needs in Western Lesvos, including upcoming maintenance for the Mesotopos–Eresos road and studies for a 14-kilometer connection between Eresos and Sigri via Tsichlia to shorten travel times.
