North American EMS Shipments Jump 6.7% in June, Book-to-Bill 1.33
The Global Electronics Association reported that North American Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) shipments rose 6.7% in June 2026 compared with the same month a year earlier, and were up 15.1% from the previous month. Year‑to‑date shipments increased 7.4% year‑over‑year, while bookings grew 29.3% year‑over‑year and 6.6% month‑to‑month. The June book‑to‑bill ratio stood at 1.33, indicating that demand is outpacing supply. Dr. Shawn DuBravac, chief economist of the Global Electronics Association, said the market continues to see strong demand, with capacity and lead times remaining the primary constraints.
The data, drawn from the association’s North American EMS Statistical Program, also includes detailed breakdowns by company size, vertical market, and production type, offering a comprehensive view of industry growth trends.
