North American Lacrosse Development Camps Highlight Future Talent
This week saw two high‑performance youth lacrosse camps in North America. In Oshawa, Ontario, Lacrosse Canada’s National Development Team Program (NDTP) Futures Camp gathered over 250 U15, U17 and U19 male and female athletes for intensive skill sessions, fitness testing and inter‑squad scrimmages. Coaches highlighted the use of a new “Future Track Athlete Passport” to assess technical, tactical and athletic competencies ahead of the 2026 national team selection.
Meanwhile, USA Lacrosse hosted its National Team Development Program Combine in Sparks, Maryland, bringing together 65 top U19 girls for a three‑day training intensive. Participants, many targeting service‑academy scholarships, worked three practices per day with the aim of earning spots on the 24‑player senior women’s national team that will compete internationally later this year. Both camps serve as pipelines for the United States and Canada’s senior national squads.
