North Bay community events focus on voting and dialogue

Several community events are scheduled across the North Bay region. The No Kings movement will hold nonpartisan gatherings throughout Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties on October 17. These events focus on voter registration and early voting ahead of the November 3 general election, combining public demonstrations with practical election information.

In Petaluma, the Common Ground Connecting Across Differences event will take place on October 18 at the Lucchesi Park Community Center. The program features Palestinian-American writer and peace advocate Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib, who will discuss understanding across diverse perspectives. The event includes music by the Qadim Ensemble.

Additionally, the fourth annual Novato Family History Day, presented by the Novato Historical Guild and local history museums, will celebrate the city’s heritage and its founding families.
