North Brabant features nearly 80 ‘Trage Tochten’ (Slow Walks), which offer visitors opportunities to experience the province's diverse landscapes and history. These walking routes span various geological and natural areas, including Kampina, Groote Peel, the Kempen, and the Brabantse Wal.

The landscape has been shaped by significant geological events, such as the last ice age and the Peelrandbreuk fault line. Many walking routes follow historical waterways like the Mark, Dommel, Beerze, Aa, and Keersop rivers, which played a role in the development of local cities.
