North Carolina Apple Festival returns to Hendersonville

The North Carolina Apple Festival is scheduled to take place in Hendersonville from September 4 to September 7, 2026. The four-day event, held over Labor Day weekend, celebrates the region’s apple-growing traditions through live music, a street fair, children’s activities, and various apple-inspired foods such as pies, cakes, and cider.

A traditional highlight of the festival is the King Apple Parade, which is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 7. Additionally, the Hendersonville Farmers Market will operate on Saturday, September 5, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. near the Historic Train Depot.

Due to the festivities, significant traffic and parking changes will be implemented in downtown Hendersonville. Main Street will be closed between Caswell Street and 7th Avenue, with parking restrictions in effect after 2:00 p.m. Visitors are advised to use municipal parking lots or the 5th Avenue lot, which will require card payments at a rate of $10 per day. Accessible parking will be reserved at the City Hall lot located at 160 6th Avenue East.
