North Carolina A&T State University celebrates 100th anniversary homecoming
North Carolina A&T State University recently held its 100th anniversary of the Greatest Homecoming on Earth (GHOE) in Greensboro. The event celebrated the milestone for the institution, which is the largest Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in the nation and a leading producer of degrees for Black students in North Carolina.
Chancellor James R. Martin II noted that the university continues to focus on academic excellence and progress in high-demand disciplines. The public doctoral research university, founded in 1891, recently became the first HBCU to exceed an enrollment of 15,000 students. This year's homecoming parade featured Terrence J as the Grand Marshal.
