North Carolina Central defeats North Carolina A&T 30-22

North Carolina Central University defeated North Carolina A&T 30-22 in the 98th annual Aggie-Eagle Classic at O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium. The victory improves the Eagles to a 2-1 record, while the Aggies fall to 0-3.

Running back Plez Lawrence led the Eagles with a career performance, recording 210 yards and three touchdowns. Lawrence scored on runs of 14 yards, 73 yards, and 1 yard. The game featured a weather delay lasting one hour and 41 minutes during the third quarter.

In the final seconds, North Carolina A&T reached the NCCU 3-yard line attempting to tie the game. However, an offensive pass interference penalty moved the ball back to the 18-yard line, and Jakarri Martin II secured the win with an interception of quarterback Kevin White.
