The North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Buccaneers 35-3 on Saturday, improving their season record to 2-0.

The Tar Heels' defense achieved a notable milestone by preventing scores for 15 consecutive opposing possessions. During this streak, the defense allowed only 368 yards across 112 plays before ETSU managed a field goal late in the fourth quarter.

Offensively, running back Demon June recorded three rushing touchdowns, while quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. distributed the workload across the backfield. Wide receiver C.J. Sadler also saw increased playing time, starting the game and recording three receptions for 66 yards.
