The No. 7 North Carolina women's soccer team defeated No. 2 Duke 4-2 at Dorrance Field in Chapel Hill. After falling behind 2-1 early in the second half following a penalty kick goal by Duke's Mia Minestrella, the Tar Heels scored three unanswered goals in the final 20 minutes to secure the victory.

UNC defender Izzi Stratton, a former BYU player who recently transferred to North Carolina following a 16-month mission in New Mexico, scored the decisive game-winning goal. The win moves North Carolina to an 8-1-0 record, while Duke drops to 6-1-1.
