North Dakota State shuts out Wyoming 28-0 in Battle of the Basins

North Dakota State defeated Wyoming 28-0 in the inaugural Battle of the Basins at the Fargodome. The victory marks the Bison's first-ever home game in the Mountain West Conference, improving their record to 5-0.

Quarterback Nathan Hayes led the offense with two rushing touchdowns, including an 8-yard score on the first play from scrimmage following an interception. The Bison defense stifled the Wyoming offense, which managed only 162 total yards and eight first downs. This shutout was North Dakota State's second of the season.

Wyoming, now 2-3, struggled to capitalize on scoring opportunities, including a possession that began at the Bison 35-yard line following a fumble recovery by linebacker Steven Perez. The Cowboys' last shutout occurred in 2022 against Fresno State.
