North Jersey man pleads guilty to drug distribution in Atlantic City
Colvin Cumberbatch, a 43-year-old man from Piscataway, New Jersey, has pleaded guilty to third-degree possession with intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances. The plea follows an April 1, 2026, traffic stop by Atlantic City police.
During the stop, a police K-9 alerted officers to the presence of drugs. A subsequent search of Cumberbatch uncovered 213 wax folds of fentanyl, two bags of cocaine, and 43 methamphetamine pills. Under the plea agreement, Cumberbatch faces a recommended three-year prison sentence. He was released pending his sentencing, which is scheduled for September 29.
